  • ChemLog Workshop with focus on development of Cleaning Stations alongside PEC V on 13 September 2011 in Novara
    Following the previous discussion the ChemLog project will organise a large dissemination workshop in Novara with focus on the development of Cleaning Stations alongside the PEC V. Experts from Italy, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic will present their experiences and current plans for the improvement of cleaning services.
  • ChemLog Seminar in Eastern Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine on 22 - 24 June 2011
    The ChemLog Partners and representatives from chemical companies and logistic service providers have met in Michalovce in Slovakia to discuss the improvement of intermodal transport alongside the Pan-European Corridor V at the important boarder region between Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine. During two days the participants have visited intermodal terminals in Dobra, Slovakia, Cop Ukraine and Zahony Hungary and have collected important impressions about practical challenges of transnational transport.
  • Policy Advisory Group Meeting on 20 May in Brussels
    The ChemLog project has organised its 3rd Policy Advisory Group Meeting in Brussels to present project results to the European Commission and discuss about future EU transport policy. The newly elected ECRN President and Minister for Science and Economy of Saxony-Anhalt Prof. Dr. Birgitta Wolff stressed the importance of the improvement of chemical logistics for the competitiveness of the chemical industry in Central and Eastern Europe, which has also been recognised by the HLG follow up process in the framework of the EU2020 strategy. Speakers from the European Commission gave an update on the latest discussion of the TEN-T review, the external transport relations and the role of EU Structural Funds for transport investments.   • Workshop on development of cleaning stations in Soporna on 11 March 2011
    ChemLog Partners and experts from chemical companies and logistic service providers have met in Soporna, Slovakia to discuss the possibilities for the development of bimodal tank cleaning stations alongside the Pan-European Corridor V. Currently there is a clear deficit in the availability of tank cleaning capacities which is a barrier for the transport of chemical goods in Central and Eastern Europe.
  • Working Group Meeting on 13 and 14 February 2011 in Magdeburg
    The project partners have met on 13 and 14 February in Magdeburg to discuss the development of regional Strategy and Action Plans, which should support the implementation of recommendations from the feasibility studies.
  • 3rd ChemLog Dissemination Event - SpeedChain 2010 Conference in Prague on 1-2 December
    The 3rd ChemLog Dissemination Event took place on 1st and 2nd of December in Prague. The main focus of the conference was the presentation of results of the feasibility studies on intermodal transport, pipelines and waterway transport. The ChemLog Dissemination Event was be held in cooperation with the SpeedChain 2010 Conference a major international logistics conference in its 5th year, with high level participants from industry, science and politics.
